Patti Howell

Patti Howell is a resilient advocate and supporter of individuals affected by exploitation and trafficking. After enduring sexual exploitation at a young age and spending 30 years in the sex trade industry, she found the courage to rebuild her life following a significant accident. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of her journey toward healing and empowerment. Determined to create a new path, Ms. Howell pursued higher education, earning a diploma in Social Work. Today, she integrates her lived experiences and education into her role as a Peer Support Worker, workshop facilitator, and public speaker with CEASE.

Known for her exceptional listening and empathetic approach, Ms. Howell provides invaluable support to individuals navigating their own journeys. She excels in one-on-one and group facilitation, skillfully leading workshops and public discussions on exploitation and recovery.

Ms. Howell is also a strong communicator. Through her engaging public speaking and thoughtful writing, she raises awareness and fosters an understanding of the complex issues surrounding exploitation. With deep respect for her peers, Ms. Howell continues to inspire hope and drive positive change in Edmonton and beyond.
